Abstract:

Dermoscopy is a non-invasive technique that allows the visualization of subsurface structures by decreasing reflection at the stratum corneum–air interface. It is widely used by dermatologists in the adult and children population and has helped improve accuracy in the diagnosis of pigmented skin lesions.

This Workshop emphasizes on (1) the application of novel dermoscopic device and technique in identifying the characteristic structures (pigmented network, globules, scar-like areas, milia-like cysts), symmetry and pattern of pigmented skin lesions, (2) How the dermoscopic devices are regulated and, (3) Safety issues arise from the novel treatment modalities for Paediatric Skin Disorder therapy
